We are sad to say goodbye to summer 2016, but the bright side is that our fall choral season has begun! Here are some of our upcoming season’s concerts-not to be missed-be sure to save the dates on your calendar.

To kick off our choral season, Milwaukee Children’s Choir will present the first of a two-part concert series on Saturday, October 29th at 7 p.m., called Musica Sacra I. Two of our outstanding choirs, Milwaukee Youth Chorale and Voices of Eterna, will be performing the music of Johann Michael Hadyn and John Rutter.

Following Musica Sacra I, all choirs of MCC will come together to pay tribute to our veterans at the For All the Heroes concert on Saturday, November 19th at 2 p.m. This performance will take place at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church and will include songs dedicated to remembering all soldiers who have dedicated their lives to serving our great nation.

Finishing out 2016, Voices of Eterna performs at the Cathedral Church of All Saints for the 4th annual An Evening of Readings & Carols, on Saturday, December 17th at 7 p.m. Artistic Director, Marco Melendez, will conduct the choir in compositions and musical arrangements from John Rutter, while the audience enjoys a candlelit evening of holiday choral music.

After An Evening of Readings & Carols, Voices of Eterna will continue to spread their talent at The Promise of Living: Songs of the American Heartland on Saturday, March 4th at 5:30 p.m. This performance will include a catered meal for guests while the choir performs jazz classics. Voices of Eterna will be joined by soloist Natalie Megules to sing tunes from Nat King Cole, George Gershwin, and several others!

On Saturday, March 25th at 7 p.m., MCC will continue Musica Sacra II, featuring performances of Stabat Mater and Requiem. The concert will also include works by Pergolesi and John Rutter for an unforgettable night.

The final performances for the year are still to be determined but keep your eyes out for more information on them in the future!
