Hannah Johansen is new to Resident Choir East, but not new to MCC. Nominated by Mrs. Rachel Beeksma, Hannah is the kind of girl that brings a smile to your face. With wonderful charm, Hannah makes those around her feel welcomed! Even though she is new in Resident Choir, she is seen as a leader in her section. She is dedicated to making beautiful music and always working to improve. Thanks Hannah for being a part of Milwaukee Children's Choir!
Q. How long have you been involved with the Milwaukee Children's Choir?
A. I have been in MCC since about 2011, and I started in Songbirds.
Q. What is your favorite subject in school? Why?
A. My favorite subject in school is Math because it’s fun to do math sometimes, but I also like music, of course.
Q. What do you like to do in your free time?
A. Practice volleyball, watch YouTube and sing.
Q. What qualities do you admire in other people?
A. I like when people are funny and caring.
Q. What are you proud of yourself for?
A. I’m proud of my winter clothes drive that a few of my friends and I did to collect winter clothes for a school that was in need.
Q. Do you remember any of your dreams? Are they funny? Are they weird?
A. I had a weird dream that my friend drove us backward into a lake and that we had a field trip to a cliff that you can jump off and not get hurt.
Q. Do you play any sports?
A. I play volleyball and I do sailing. They’re both really fun!
Q. If you were going to spend one year a desert island and could only take three things with you, what would they be?
A. I would take water, food and a boat.
Q. What is your favorite part about being in Resident Choir East?
A. There are so many fun and exciting experiences and I get to be part of a super awesome team.
In summer, Hannah takes sailing lessons and her family takes a week long cruise. They have a sailboat called Rag Doll that is moored at South Shore Yacht club in Milwaukee! Hannah’s picture is of her sitting on the boom (which supports the mainsail) on Rag Doll.
