On May 14, 2022, we ended our 28th season with the dramatic concert Force for Good.

MCC choristers sang inspiring songs that encouraged community well-being and respect. Music selections ranged from spirituals, pop and Disney tunes, along with songs in Hebrew and Latin. The selection was focused on music that brought us together, helped us grow, and inspired us to make a difference.

The highlight of the performance was giving our youth a new voice through visual art. In preparation for the performance, singers got creative with partner Walker’s Points Center for the Arts and created community artwork that not only inspired and empowered our youth, but beautifies our neighborhoods (currently on display at City Hall through May 26, 2022).

Choristers were excited to show our community and audience that they are eager to build the type of community they wish to live in.

The artwork was the backdrop for the Force for Good performance as choristers sang uplifting music that promoted kindness and delivered messages of hope. The artwork helped our singers express who they are, while also creating an understanding and awareness for the Milwaukee community.

Overall, it was a wonderful opportunity for our choristers to build connections, and further create a shared sense of community through the visual and performing arts.
