Preparatory Choir

Grades 4 and 5

Preparatory Choir builds upon the skills learned in Introductory Choir and in school music programs – while adding opportunities for vocal and music growth in a fun and rewarding choral experience for children in grades 4-5. The curriculum teaches a love for singing while developing strong aural skills, singing techniques and performance etiquette. During the hour-long rehearsal singers learn music theory, and develop their musical knowledge on paper and through singing. The Preparatory Choir performs in at least three annual concerts and sometimes has other opportunities to perform in the community throughout the year- including in performance with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra!
