Friday Feature - Gabriela Muirhead

Our Friday Feature is Gabriela Muirhead! From Prelude East, Mr. Jacobson nominated her because she always comes to rehearsal with a smile and is always prepared to learn! Gabriela is a great student to have in prelude!

One of Gabriela’s favorite memories is when she got to see Hamilton in Chicago last November! She also traveled to Columbia last summer and has three dogs. Her family has a black lab, a German short hair pointer mix named Schatzi, and an 8 month old rescue puppy.

Friday Feature - Brielle Anderson

Brielle Anderson from Prelude West is this week’s Friday Feature! New to Milwaukee Children’s Choir, Mr. Jacobson nominated Brielle because, “She brings a huge amount of energy to rehearsal. Brielle seems to really love singing and she’s always excited to learn new musical concepts!” ​

Friday Feature - Henry Dizard

Henry Dizard is this week’s Friday Feature! From Resident Choir West, Henry was nominated by Mrs. Rachel Beeksma. She says, “his excellent sight reading skills and positive, can-do attitude makes him a great leader in his section!” Along with singing, Henry likes to act and is involved in First Stage Children’s Theater. We’re so happy Henry is in our program!

From Voices of Eterna, Grace Ohlendorf is this week’s Friday Feature! She was nominated by her choral director, Mr. Erik Jacobson. He says, “Grace is a fantastic chorister from Voices of Eterna.  She is always attentive and interested in many different styles of music. Grace lends great leadership through her knowledge of music theory and her drive to succeed in both a rehearsal and performance environment.”

Gregory Fish from Prelude Choir West is this week’s Friday Feature! Friday Feature - Claire Olver

This week’s Friday Feature is Claire Olver. This is Claire’s fifth year involved with Milwaukee Children’s Choir, and she is currently under the direction of Mrs. Rachel Beeskma. Singing in the Lake Country Children’s Choir program, Claire is a social butterfly that is welcoming and warm to all who meet her. She is a good leader in her section, a hard worker, and always excels at whatever task is given to her. Claire’s eagerness to do her best makes her a great addition to our Lake Country Children's Choir!

Hannah Johansen is new to Resident Choir East, but not new to MCC. Nominated by Mrs. Rachel Beeksma, Hannah is the kind of girl that brings a smile to your face. With wonderful charm, Hannah makes those around her feel welcomed! Even though she is new in Resident Choir, she is seen as a leader in her section. Friday Feature - Spencer Ours

Spencer Ours is this week's Friday Feature. Spencer was nominated by his director, Mrs. Lisa Maxfield. Mrs. Maxfield nominated him because he is in his second year of training choir and is great at leading by example! He is able to model how to sing in head voice and how to shape your vowels to new singers. He even teaches his younger brother his songs while he practices at home! This week’s Friday Feature comes from Milwaukee Youth Chorale. Nominated by Mr. Jacobson, Margot Armbruster is an amazing example of a very fine musician who also excels in academia and other areas of life. Milwaukee Children’s Choir cares deeply about supporting a lifelong love of music and singing even for people on a career path not involving music. Friday Feature - Kendra Kabara

Meet this weeks Friday Feature, Kendra Kabara!  When asked why he was nominating Kendra, Mr. Jacobson said that she is a shining example that students can be dedicated to MCC while still participating in (and thriving at) other extra curricular activities. Kendra sings with both of MCC's top groups, Voices of Eterna and Milwaukee Youth Chorale. She is a very talented and hard working young lady with an awesome positive attitude and willingness to help others.
